My thoughts run free here…

Welcome to my blog

This is my corner of the Internet for sharing stories, ideas, and my travel experiences that shape my daily life…

  • An Educational Scandal

I borrow the above post title from Richard Dawkins’s book, The God Delusion. Steven Layfield, the Head of Science at Emmanuel College in Gateshead, once gave a lecture called The Teaching of Science: A Biblical Perspective. For goodness’s sake, he is the head of science! And it seems that he has no masala in his…

  • The gullibility of children

It has been a long time since I’ve posted. Most of the time, I was busy and even when I had the time, I was not in the mood to blog. Not to mention not having any topic at hand to discuss. But now I have. I have always been wondering why so many scientists…

  • Thaipusam

The hindus in Singapore celebrate Thaipusam very elaborately. Check this link. It’s a news item from the local news channel. It’s really amazing how multicultural Singapore is. • Just random rant

Going to dinner with my colleagues and discussing with them about adult issues is making me feel kind of weird. All of a sudden I feel really grown up while I’m actually not. My attachment to my parents have also diminished. Nowadays I feel like they are quite irritating, but only sometimes. I feel that…

  • On Racism

Human beings come in many different sizes, shapes and colours. However, under the skin, our skeletons and our genes show that we are all closely related. The variations we see today probably all developed within the last 200,000 years as our species diversified from an ancestral African population. Why I Started My Personal Blog

I started personal blogging as a way to give my thoughts a home—a space where my experiences, lessons, dreams, and quiet reflections could live beyond my journal pages. Between building my career, managing finances, exploring new places, and navigating life as a woman constantly learning and evolving, I realized I had stories worth telling. Writing became my way of slowing down, making sense of my journey, and honoring both the milestones and the messy in-between moments. This blog is where I document not just where I go, but who I am becoming along the way.

Over time, blogging grew into something deeper than self-expression. It became a bridge—connecting me with people who may be walking similar paths, feeling similar doubts, or chasing similar dreams. Whether I’m sharing travel reflections, personal finance insights, creative pursuits, or lessons from love and self-growth, my hope is always the same: that someone out there feels seen, encouraged, or a little more confident about their own journey. This space is my reminder that growth doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be honest.
